Heim Studios is a Norwegian fashion brand founded with a deep commitment to a more conscious future. The idea behind Heim Studios was born from a belief that we already have abundant resources in the world, and a desire to challenge the fashion industry's throwaway mentality.
Brand Philosophy
At the core of Heim Studios lies a vision to create timeless design that does not contribute to overproduction. Heim is dedicated to primarily using surplus materials and recycled raw materials to the greatest extent possible, with a special focus on high-quality textiles, mainly from Italy. This ensures that each product has a unique story and a lower environmental footprint. Our goal is to be part of a circular economy, minimizing waste and avoiding synthetic materials where possible.
Design & Crafts
The products are designed to be timeless, versatile and usable by everyone, regardless of gender identity. Heim Studios is assisted by Manufacture Oslo to make our products locally here in Norway. They have a strong focus on quality and detail, which reflects Heim's commitment to "slow fashion" and sustainable products.
Our first launch, The Sail Bag , is a perfect example of this philosophy. Made from Italian surplus leather/suede, it is proof that luxury and sustainability can go hand in hand. It is made on a made to order basis, and in a very limited edition of only 12 pieces. This underlines Heim's exclusivity and unique approach to production.
Heim's History and Future
Heim Studios is a project from the heart, born out of my own journey and experiences finding clothes that fit my style. The name "Heim" has a double meaning: The name gives a little nod to my hometown Trondheim, and it means "home" in Norwegian. This symbolizes my desire for everyone to feel at home in my designs, by breaking down traditional gender norms and offering garments that resonate with each individual.
In a world where more people are demanding authenticity, sustainability and inclusive fashion, Heim Studios is here to meet that need. I want to build a community around our values and inspire more conscious choices. While initially focusing on accessories like The Sail Bag, the vision is to gradually expand the range into other categories, while always maintaining Heim's core values of sustainability and minimalist design. I also want to explore ways to extend the lifespan of the products, going forward.
